Top Three Candidates for London Mayor Agree to Meet EETG if Elected!

ALL TOP THREE CANDIDATES FOR LONDON MAYOR SAY YES TO OUR RELATIONSHIP ASK!

On Wednesday night the Guild rocked the Bishopsgate Institute! Members of the EETG and the new Trades Guild Community Land Trust filled the Great Hall. Serenaded by Len & The Grease Monkeys + Fire Choir, the Guild established the case on our four proposals for the next Mayor at our Accountability Assembly.

Huge congratulations to all who attended and to everyone who played an active role. Only through taking action together can we make progress and our assembly has now put our Manifesto for the New Economy on the agenda the three front runners standing for election.

“I feel uplifted by the turnout of the Guild members and customers who came on Wednesday night. The efforts of the last year have made us stronger. Thanks to everyone pulling together, we got a meeting agreed by all three leading candidates standing for Mayor of London. Now we’re on track to hit the ground running in the months ahead. I hope everyone will turn up and vote on 2nd May” Len Maloney, JC Motors.

“The Guild had a major challenge to overcome with all three candidates being pulled away to the pre-record of the BBC’s coverage of the London Election. Nevertheless we persisted, and decided that if the mountain won’t come to Mohammed then Mohammed will go to the mountain. Despite being eclipsed by the BBC’s Mayoral debate we managed to make a significant step forward by securing a meeting with all three front runners standing to be Mayor. So now thanks to our efforts whoever is elected on 2nd May the Guild can be in dialogue with the person who has decision making power to help see through our ambitious goals. This is a big victory for everyone who has joined the collective actions of the Guild. Congratulations to all our members!”  Krissie Nicolson, EETG Director.
