Book a pitch at Cheshire Street Market by 26th April to have your portrait taken by Jeremy Freedman

We’re working with our members to revive Cheshire Street Market over spring and summer from Sunday 6th May. Pitches are free for May and June. Roll up! Roll up! Apply for yours here.

If you successfully apply for a pitch by 26th April and join as a member of the East End Trades Guild, we will arrange a portrait of you to be taken by local photographer Jeremy Freedman for use on the new Cheshire Street Market website and for our social media channels.

Our market will provide a range of beautiful handmade and locally produced products and include stalls from the famous shops of the street, as well as the important traders who’ve pitched up every Sunday for the last 30 years come rain or shine.

We aim to encourage and support both first time and established traders who work with a variety of items including recycled materials, fair trade products, home made, hand made, locally sourced crafts and fashions, second hand and vintage, books, arts and crafts.

Enormous gratitude goes out to Marc Ratzker from members Coppermills who has supplied these incredible photographs from 1978 when the market was in its heyday, with two featuring Hercules the businesses horse!

Coppermills has been recycling textiles in the East End for over a hundred years and manufacture industrial cleaning cloths with a Royal Warrant to supply the Queen.
