The Kickstart scheme is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity designed for young people who are at risk of long-term unemployment. We have been working with many small businesses in the local community to create jobs, giving a boost to start careers with no experience needed.
As a Kickstarter myself I was glad to be given the opportunity to learn new skills as well gain experience in a new profession. It has been an amazing experience working for the East End Trades Guild as my work is so valuable and I am still able to continue in my role supporting small businesses in finding Kickstarters to join their teams now the 6-month placement is over.

“I have gained a lot of knowledge in mechanics and cars in general. I have also been studying a 2 year Level 2 course in Automotive Care for 6 months, hoping to become fully qualified in this area.
